Investment Education Resources
Building your investment knowledge takes more than reading a few articles. We've structured our materials around how people actually learn—through progressive skill development, real examples, and practical application. Starting September 2025, we're opening enrollment for those ready to understand markets beyond surface-level concepts.
Progressive Skill Building
Most investment courses throw everything at you at once. We don't do that. Our approach mirrors how professionals actually develop competence—layer by layer, with each module building on what came before.
Foundation Phase
You'll start with market fundamentals and financial statement analysis. Not exciting, but necessary. We cover what numbers actually mean and why certain metrics matter more than others.
Analysis Development
Here's where it gets interesting. You'll learn to evaluate businesses, understand competitive advantages, and spot warning signs in financial reports. Real company examples, not theoretical nonsense.
Strategy Formation
Once you understand analysis, we move into building coherent strategies. Portfolio construction, risk management, and making decisions when information is incomplete—because it always is.
Advanced Application
The final phase focuses on complex scenarios. Market cycles, behavioral patterns, and adapting your approach when conditions change. This is where theory meets messy reality.
Flexible Learning Formats
People learn differently. Some prefer scheduled sessions, others need flexibility. We've designed multiple ways to engage with the material so you can find what actually works for your schedule and learning style.
Live Sessions
Weekly group sessions starting October 2025 where we work through concepts together. Ask questions, discuss real market situations, and learn from other participants. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7pm Eastern.
Self-Paced Modules
Access all materials on your own timeline. Videos, readings, and exercises available whenever you need them. Complete modules in order, but move at whatever speed makes sense for you.
Case Study Library
Over 40 real investment scenarios with detailed analysis. Some successful, some disasters. You'll see how different approaches play out and why certain decisions made sense at the time.
Kellan Thorvaldsen
Lead InstructorI've been analyzing markets for 12 years, mostly institutional work. My focus is teaching you to think independently rather than follow systems blindly. Expect direct feedback and real talk about what works.
Dmitri Baranovsky
Strategy MentorI help participants develop their own investment approach rather than copying mine. Everyone's different—risk tolerance, time horizon, capital base. My job is helping you figure out what makes sense for your situation.
How We Measure Progress
Forget multiple-choice tests. Investment competence isn't about memorizing definitions. We evaluate your development through practical application—the kind of work you'd actually do as an investor.
Company Analysis Projects
You'll analyze real businesses and present your findings. We're looking for solid reasoning, not perfect predictions. Can you identify what matters? Do you understand the risks? That's what counts.
Portfolio Reviews
Build a hypothetical portfolio and defend your choices. Explain why you allocated capital the way you did. We'll challenge your assumptions—not to trip you up, but to strengthen your thinking.
Market Scenario Responses
When markets move, how do you respond? We present realistic scenarios and see how you'd handle them. There's rarely one right answer, but there are better and worse approaches to uncertainty.
Peer Discussion Contribution
Part of learning is engaging with different perspectives. Your participation in group analysis sessions matters—both for your development and helping others think through complex situations.
Direct Mentor Support
You're not going through this alone. Each participant gets paired with an experienced investor who provides ongoing feedback on your work. Not just grades—actual guidance on improving your analysis and decision-making process.
